More Than a Certificate — A Step Into Dignity and Opportunity

08/04/2026 was a day defined not just by achievement, but by transformation.
The event began with a brief but meaningful gathering, where the different vocational cohorts were introduced—Tiling, Painting, Aluminium Fabrication, and Culinary Arts (Cooking). Each group represented months of discipline, learning, and persistence. What stood before us was not just a collection of trainees, but individuals ready to step into the workforce with real, practical skills.
Then came the voices that brought everything into perspective.
Rehema. Gift. Kadzo. Riziki.

One by one, they shared their journeys—how they had taken what they learned and turned it into something tangible. Income, yes. But beyond that, something deeper: independence, confidence, and a renewed sense of identity. Their stories made it clear—this program is not just about skills training. It’s about restoring dignity, creating belonging, and proving that opportunity, when given, can be seized.
The certificate issuance followed, led by Mativo and Eric. This moment carried weight. Not just because certificates were being handed out, but because of what they represent—a formal recognition of capability.

Mativo’s signature, in particular, holds real significance. As a respected figure working closely with county leadership and a strong advocate for ICT development in Kilifi and across Kenya, his endorsement elevates the credibility of these certifications. It sends a clear message: these are not symbolic documents—they are credentials that open doors.
With certificates in hand and pride evident on every face, the atmosphere shifted into celebration.
Photos were taken—moments captured that will stand as reminders of how far each individual has come. A vote of thanks followed, acknowledging everyone who made the day possible, from trainers to supporters.
The day closed the way meaningful days should—with people coming together. A shared meal, organized by the foundation and thoughtfully catered by Nasra, gave everyone a chance to connect, reflect, and simply enjoy the moment.

This wasn’t just a ceremony.
It was proof that when skills meet opportunity, lives change.
